I sanded on the edges to expose the wood to give a pinstripe like outline all around!

 I sanded the top more than the back to expose more of the grain, can't really see it here. The top was more blotchy than I expected, but Ill take it!

 The back came out excellent, looks like an old whitewashed, faded fence.

The neck is perfect as well.
